The Monsoon session of the Assembly may begin from July 20. This session is also likely to be short like previous Monsoon sessions. The duration of the session may be up to one week. During the Monsoon session, bills and the first supplementary budget for the year 2026-27 will be presented by the state government. After discussions between Assembly Speaker Narendra Singh Tomar and Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav, the Assembly Secretariat has started preparations for the Monsoon session of 2026-27. A proposal to start the Monsoon session from July 20 has been sent to the Governor. After the Governor’s approval, the notification will be issued. This session is likely to be of five to seven days’ duration. Since notification is mandatory one month before the Assembly session begins. Therefore, the notification for starting the session is considered certain to be issued by June 19. Along with the notification for starting the session, the time limit for other proposals to be taken from MLAs, including calling attention and discussions under Rule 139, will also be fixed. Higher education department bill to be introduced During the assembly session, the state government may introduce three to five bills. These will include bills from the Higher Education Department as well. Additionally, the first supplementary budget will also be presented during the session. For this, the Finance Department has already called for proposals from all departments and is studying them.
