attempt-to-get-job-with-fake-marksheet:hc-dismisses-petitions-of-2-top-ranked-women-in-anganwadi-recruitment,-says-no-grounds-for-hearing

The High Court refused to hear the petition of two women who were trying to get jobs through fake marksheets in Anganwadi recruitment. The court clearly stated that when the marksheet itself is fake, there is no justification for giving an opportunity for a hearing. The case is related to Anganwadi worker recruitment in Tikamgarh district, where two women had submitted fake 12th-class marksheets during the application. On Friday, the High Court dismissed the petitions of the women in both cases related to the recruitment process. The court said that the 12th class marksheet submitted in the recruitment was found to be fake, and it is not appropriate to give the applicants an opportunity for additional hearing. Doing so would only be a waste of judicial time. Justice Vishal Mishra’s vacation bench gave this decision after hearing the petitions filed on behalf of Mamta Yadav and Neetu Rajput. Both women had challenged the order of the Women and Child Development Department to exclude them from the Anganwadi worker recruitment process and to register an FIR. Both women were at the top of the Merit List The petitioners stated that they had applied under the advertisement issued by the Women and Child Development Department on June 20, 2025. Along with their application, they had uploaded their 12th-grade results in the interim merit list issued on August 18, 2025, and their selection was considered almost certain. During the recruitment process, on October 29, 2025, a complaint was filed before the District Selection Committee that the applicants’ 12th-grade marksheets were fake. Upon receiving the complaint, the District Level Grievance Redressal Committee got the documents verified from the concerned institution. Had challenged the orders to exclude from recruitment and file FIR The institution declared both marksheets as fake in a report sent on January 8, 2026. Following this, the District Program Officer issued an order on May 26, 2026, declaring both applicants ineligible for the recruitment process and also gave directions to file an FIR with the police within seven days. During the hearing of the case, Government Advocate Kamal Singh Baghel presented the state government’s side. After examining all documents and records, the High Court dismissed both petitions. However, the court also clarified that if criminal action is taken against them, they will be free to apply for anticipatory bail as per the law.
