Mining mafia threatens woman officer outside police station:Blocks road to free seized dumpers, says ‘we’ll get you sacked’

In Bhopal, alleged aides of a mining mafia threatened a woman mining officer right in front of a police station. They reportedly told her, “We will get you removed from your job” and “We will deal with you.” Police personnel and officials from the Mining Department were present at the spot, but the accused continued creating a ruckus. The incident took place late on Thursday night near Kajlikheda and has now come to light. Based on a complaint filed by Mining Inspector Suchi Mathur, police have registered a case against Rahul Yadav, Gyan Singh Yadav and their associates under sections related to obstructing government work, illegal mining and transportation, and criminal intimidation. Mining team’s path blocked to free the dumper According to the complaint, Inspector Mathur and her team were checking dumpers coming from the Neelbad checkpost at around 11:30 pm on Thursday. As soon as the team stopped the dumpers near Bairagarh Chichli, the drivers allegedly attempted to dump the material and flee. The mining team caught them and took the dumpers into custody before bringing them to the police station. Meanwhile, dumper owners Rahul Yadav and Gyan Singh Yadav arrived at the spot along with their associates. They allegedly parked their vehicles in front of the police station gate, blocked the route of the mining team and began pressuring officials to release the seized dumpers. ASI Mahesh Manjhi said Rahul and Gyan misbehaved with the mining inspector in the presence of police personnel. They allegedly tried to exert pressure on the woman officer and later fled after threatening her with serious consequences. DCP said – Notice issued to the accused DCP (Zone-4) Adarshkant Shukla said notices are being issued to the accused, directing them to appear before the police station. He said the dumpers and other vehicles involved have been seized. Registration certificates, permits and other related documents are being examined. He added that no guilty person would be spared. Mineral Department Officials Not Answering Phones On Saturday morning, police conducted raids at the suspected hideouts of the accused, but both men could not be traced. For an update on the case, Dainik Bhaskar called District Mining Officer Mehtab Singh Rawat four times, but he did not answer the phone. Mining Inspector Suchi Mathur also did not respond to calls.
