In Chidoria Padayat village of Vidisha district, a couple consumed poison due to a 6-year-old dispute over 40 bighas of land. Both were admitted to the hospital. There, 40-year-old wife Munni Bai Dangi died, while the condition of 45-year-old husband Suresh Dangi remains critical. The children have accused their own relatives of harassing their parents and forcing them to commit suicide. The dispute escalated when the harvester was taken away According to the police, Suresh Dangi was experiencing tension with his own family members over land sharing and its use. On Wednesday, this dispute escalated to its peak when both parties got into an argument over taking a harvester into the field. Distraught by this, the husband and wife returned home and consumed a poisonous substance. Immediately after the incident, both were taken to the district hospital, where they were referred to the medical college when their condition worsened. Here, Munni Bai died during treatment. Son said – complained to the police many times The couple’s son, Vineet Dangi, said, “Our father was not allowed to cultivate his own fields for many years. When he was going to the field with a harvester, a dispute arose. We complained about this to the police and administration many times, but no one listened.” Vineet said that if strict action is not taken against the culprits even now, their faith in the justice system will be lost. Daughter said – Uncle, Aunt, and Grandmother created mental pressure Daughter Anjali Dangi has blamed her relatives for her mother’s death. Anjali alleged that her parents were constantly being subjected to mental pressure by her uncle, aunt, grandmother, and other family members. She took this step after being hurt by the assault and humiliation in the field. Anjali has demanded that the police immediately arrest and imprison all these accused. Future of four children in crisis, police engaged in investigation Suresh and Munni Bai have four children (three daughters and one son). Among them, the eldest daughter recently got married, while the other three children are studying. With their mother’s shadow lifted before their eyes and their father in the hospital, the future and upbringing of these children are now in crisis. In this entire matter, the police administration states that every aspect of the incident is being investigated. Old records of the land dispute, the main reason for consuming poison, and allegations of harassment are being investigated. Based on whatever facts and evidence emerge during the investigation, strict legal action will be taken against the accused.
