A horrific picture has emerged from Khilchipur in Rajgarh district, tearing apart claims of cow protection. In the trenching ground located in Somwaria, Khilchipur Nagar Parishad area, carcasses and skeletons of cows are scattered all around. The situation is so bad that stray dogs are gnawing at these carcasses day and night. When the Bhaskar team inspected the spot, a scene of cruelty and negligence was witnessed there. See the horrific pictures As far as the eye could see, only bones and skulls were visible In the desolate part of the ground, the Bhaskar team counted more than 70 cow carcasses and skeletons lying under the open sky. Instead of scientifically burying the dead cows, municipal council employees throw them one on top of another into a pit and leave. The entire area has such a terrible stench of rotting flesh that it is difficult to stand there even for a few minutes. On one side, carcasses; on the other, living cows suffering from hunger The most concerning and disturbing thing about the trenching ground was that while dozens of cow carcasses were rotting on one side, living cows were searching for food in the same pile of toxic waste on the other side. These cows, desperate with hunger, were forced to chew dangerous polythene (plastic sheets) wrapped in the waste. Local people’s anger erupted, saying they would have to bear the consequences Local people, hesitantly and in hushed tones, said that the city’s stray and helpless cows eat plastic and garbage to satisfy their hunger, which leads to their death. According to Rakesh Jaiswal, former councilor of Khilchipur, governments were formed in the name of cows, but here there is only misery. Carcasses of cows are being openly dumped in the city’s trenching ground. The administration was warned many times, but no concrete action was taken. Due to the lack of sufficient food and fodder, cows eat plastic and die in agony. Responsible people are only serving their own interests. Exposed on camera, the dead cows were from the cow shelter When the Bhaskar team was capturing this scene on camera on the ground, a municipal council vehicle arrived there. The vehicle was loaded with 4 dead cows. Employees threw them into an open pit without any safety or scientific rules and started to leave. When asked, they admitted that these dead cows were from the government cow shelter. This situation raises many serious questions No response received from Nagar Parishad and local administration On the question of this negligence and throwing carcasses in the open, no direct answer could be obtained from the Nagar Parishad and the local administration. The cause of death will only be clear from the post-mortem report Deputy Director (Animal Husbandry Department) Dr. D.R. Ahirwar said – A team of doctors has been sent to the spot for investigation. The actual cause of death of the cows will only be clear after the post-mortem report comes. Local citizens have demanded an impartial investigation into the matter and strict action against the culprits. If attention is not paid in time, this negligence can also become the cause of an epidemic in the entire region.
