A routine highway journey turned fatal on Monday morning when a car carrying four young men from Maharashtra crashed head-on into a container on the Mumbai-Agra National Highway near Sendhwa in Madhya Pradesh’s Barwani district. The accident occurred around 7 am, nearly 10 kilometres from Sendhwa city, leaving two dead and two others seriously injured. Police said the victims were travelling towards Indore in a car bearing registration number MH 11 CW 4644. The group hailed from Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar and Pune in Maharashtra. Another occupant, 28-year-old Aniket Kale, succumbed to his injuries at the government hospital in Sendhwa. The injured have been identified as 25-year-old Bhushan Rajaram of Pune and 26-year-old Aukar Amit of Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. Both sustained serious injuries and were shifted to a private hospital for treatment.
