After the program, the Chief Minister said that today’s episode of Mann Ki Baat was a moment of immense pride, inspiration, and confidence for Chhattisgarh, as the Prime Minister mentioned both the state’s talent and cultural heritage on a national platform, bringing honor to the entire state. He stated that when the nation’s highest leadership recognizes the achievements and talents of a state, it is not merely an acknowledgment of individuals but a recognition of the aspirations, hard work, and identity of millions of its citizens. Expressing gratitude to the Prime Minister, Chief Minister Sai said that Mann Ki Baat has become a powerful platform that provides national recognition to positive initiatives, innovations, talents, and inspiring life journeys from across the country. He noted that the Prime Minister highlighted the achievements of young sprinter Animesh Kujur from Ghuitangar village in Jashpur district, sending a strong message to the youth that limited resources cannot stop talent from achieving great heights when there is dedication and determination. The Chief Minister said that Animesh Kujur completed the 100-meter race in just 10.15 seconds, setting a new national record and qualifying for the 2026 Commonwealth Games, bringing glory to both Chhattisgarh and India. Coming from a rural background in Jashpur and educated at Sainik School Ambikapur, the young athlete reached the national and international stage through hard work, discipline, and family support despite limited resources. He added that Animesh’s achievement demonstrates that Chhattisgarh is rich in talent and that, given the right opportunities, the state’s youth can establish their identity on the global stage. Referring to the interaction between the Prime Minister and Animesh Kujur during the program, the Chief Minister said that the athlete’s confidence and mindset are particularly inspiring for young people. Animesh shared how his interest in athletics grew during the COVID-19 period and how he remained committed to his goals despite challenges and doubts. The Chief Minister further stated that the Prime Minister conveyed an inspiring message about sportsmanship, emphasizing that competition should not only be about outperforming one another but also about enhancing the nation’s pride. He quoted the Prime Minister’s message that athletes should challenge each other, strive to excel, and at the same time support one another. According to the Chief Minister, this reflects India’s emerging sports culture. He added that the state government is continuously working to provide talented athletes with better training, sports infrastructure, and opportunities. Chief Minister Sai also said that the Prime Minister’s mention of the rare copper plates discovered under the Gyan Bharatam campaign in the historic town of Malhar in Bilaspur district was highly significant for Chhattisgarh’s historical and cultural consciousness. He explained that these copper plates, believed to be around 1,400–1,500 years old, are associated with the Panduvanshi period, particularly the era of Maharshi Balarjuna. They provide valuable insights into the governance system, culture, religion, and social life of that time. Written in ancient Brahmi script and Pali language, these artifacts serve as important evidence of Chhattisgarh’s rich historical heritage. The Chief Minister said that the state government remains fully committed to the preservation and promotion of India’s and Chhattisgarh’s historical, cultural, and archaeological heritage. He described the discovery at Malhar as not merely an archaeological achievement but an important chapter in preserving cultural memory and expanding historical knowledge for future generations. He added that when the Prime Minister highlights such achievements on a national platform, it also promotes greater public awareness and respect for heritage conservation. Concluding his remarks, the Chief Minister said that today’s episode of Mann Ki Baat is a strong example of how New India is giving equal respect to talent, hard work, sportsmanship, culture, and heritage. On one hand, a young athlete from Jashpur dreams of bringing greater glory to the nation; on the other, the heritage of Malhar tells the story of India’s glorious past. Together, these achievements are instilling pride, inspiration, and new energy throughout Chhattisgarh. On the occasion, MLA Purandar Mishra, CGMSC Chairman Deepak Mhaske, along with a large number of public representatives, distinguished citizens, and members of the public, were present.
