10-students-expelled-after-questioning-summer-classes-in-45°c-heat:school-ignored-collector’s-order;-management-claimed-it-follows-its-own-rules

10 students were expelled from a private school in Bhopal. Their only fault was that their parents had created a WhatsApp group and mentioned the Collector’s order, which declared holidays for junior classes due to intense heat and changed the timings for senior classes. In fact, despite the holidays being declared, children were being called to school in the name of a summer camp. In protest against this, parents created a WhatsApp group on May 12. As soon as information about the discussions happening in this group reached the school management, they held a meeting with the parents on May 15. During this, some parents, citing the intense heat, asked for the school to be closed as per the Collector’s order. Angered by this, the school management sent termination emails to the children of all those parents on May 17. Troubled by the school’s arbitrary actions, the parents reached the Collector’s public hearing on Tuesday. They submitted a written complaint. They said – The school does not give importance to administrative orders The case is from Eastern Public School in Abbas Nagar. In the public hearing, parents stated that when they raised questions about the holiday, the management said that private schools make their own rules. The school does not give importance to administrative orders and operates according to its own rules. Regarding the entire matter, when Dainik Bhaskar called the school management for comment, the call was not received. Read the Hindi translation of the school management’s email Assalamu Alaikum, none of the expelled students caused any harm to the school. But the parents were damaging the school’s reputation, which was endangering the education of over 600 children and the jobs of over 150 staff members. Therefore, children are paying the price for their parents’ misconduct, and it is not the school that is harming them. The school is built only for those children, which includes Mansoor Sir’s lifelong sacrifices. The school’s decision is final and is in line with its policy. It is also in accordance with the admission undertaking, which all parents sign, stating that they will not harm the school’s reputation. Whether by actively supporting or by silently supporting when the school is being harmed in front of them. When your children’s TCs (Transfer Certificates) are ready, you will be called to collect them. Thank you. Parents said – Expelled from school without discussion Amanuddin Khan stated that his two children, Wafa Saad Khan (Class 4) and Abdul Rahman Saad Khan (Class 9), have also been expelled by the school. The children had regular admission to the school, and approximately one year’s fees had been paid in advance. Despite this, an email was sent without any hearing or discussion. He said- No wrong things were said against the school in the WhatsApp group. There was only a discussion about the heat and the children’s health. No protest or abusive language was used, yet the children were targeted. Expelling children mid-session puts their education in jeopardy The parents say that removing children from school in the middle of the session is affecting their studies. Getting admission in a new school is not easy and it will also increase financial difficulties. The parents said that the children are under mental stress. They are repeatedly asking why they are not being allowed to go to school? Complaint also made to the CM helpline and the education department A complaint regarding the matter has also been made to the CM Helpline, Public Education Department, and other administrative officials. The parents said that they would continue to pursue action. They believe that action should be taken against such schools that disregard the health of children and administrative orders.
