Oscar-winning composer and singer AR Rahman performed live at the BHEL Dussehra Ground in Bhopal, drawing a massive crowd even before the concert began. Fans from different places were seen waiting for hours to hear him perform. The event was not limited to a music concert, as several stars also gathered in Bhopal for the promotion of the South Indian film ‘Peddi’. Superstar Ram Charan, Janhvi Kapoor, Ravi Kishan, and Divyenndu Sharma appeared on stage to promote the film. Before the concert began, actor Ravi Kishan addressed the audience and said that a big message would go out from Bhopal not only to Madhya Pradesh but to the whole of North India. He added that the reason why film industry personalities had come to Bhopal would be shared from the stage. The excitement among the audience increased further as AR Rahman arrived on stage. Sports Minister Vishvas Sarang also came on stage and jokingly said that his arrival might feel like the old Doordarshan message, “Sorry for the interruption.” He added that the people of Bhopal truly love artists. Peddi is slated for a theatrical release on June 4 and is being released as a pan-India film. Directed by Buchi Babu Sana, the film features music composed by A. R. Rahman.
