cockroach-janata-party-grows-stronger-in-madhya-pradesh:umang-singhar-links-movement-to-neet,-vyapam-like-scams

Leader of Opposition Umang Singhar has shared his personal views on the viral “Cockroach Janata Party (CJP)” trend circulating on social media. He described it not merely as a meme, but as a symbol of anger among frustrated youth affected by unemployment, paper leaks and a broken system. CJP is a satirical social media movement that recently began in protest against a statement allegedly linked to the CJI. The trend has rapidly gone viral online and uses memes and satire to highlight issues such as unemployment, the education system and government accountability. CJP’s social media accounts become active in MP too In Madhya Pradesh too, Instagram pages such as @_cjpmadhyapradesh and @cockroachjantapartyzz have become active. Local supporters are sharing memes, manifestos and posts related to youth issues. A large number of young people in the state are joining the movement. The main Instagram page is reportedly trending with millions of followers and engagements, while youths from MP are posting messages in the style of “Main Bhi Cockroach” to express support. Singhar says anger is linked to paper leaks and unemployment Umang Singhar said, “There is a huge atmosphere around the Cockroach Janata Party on social media. Why are governments trying to ban it? Shouldn’t the voices of young people be heard in this country? Why should issues related to unemployed youth not be discussed? Our brothers, who are the future of the nation, are the ones who will strengthen the system in the future.” He further said, “When the system starts treating young people like cockroaches, understand that the problem is not with the youth but with the mindset of the system. The emerging Cockroach Janata Party is not just a social media trend. It is the voice of anger, satire and frustration among youth who feel broken by the system.” ‘Government afraid of youth voices’ Singhar claimed, “Within a few days, the movement gained over 13 million followers and engagement on Instagram. These are not just numbers, but the emotions of the youth. This is the voice of a generation that no longer wants to remain silent.” He said this anger did not emerge suddenly, but was the result of years of unemployment, paper leaks and scams such as Vyapam, which have shattered the younger generation. He alleged that the government has become afraid of youth voices, which is why social media accounts are being shut down. According to him, the Cockroach Janata Party’s X account has been banned in India. Questions also raised on Election Commission, media and electoral bonds The opposition leader said, “Why are the voices of such youths being silenced? I also agree with their manifesto that if a voter’s name is removed, action should be taken against the Chief Election Commissioner.” He added that he had earlier raised the demand for 50 percent reservation for women in the Assembly. He also questioned repeated discussions around delimitation. Singhar further said, “News channel licences are being cancelled. There should also be restrictions on the crores of rupees political parties receive through electoral bonds, so the public can know which industrialists are funding which parties. The government must understand the emotions of the country’s youth.” Told the youth – Strengthen this power, I am with you Addressing the youth, Singhar said, “Strengthen this force, I am with you. I also have one more suggestion for your manifesto — EVM machines should be discontinued in the country. If it can happen in countries like America and Canada, why not here?” He added, “An atmosphere of disorder is growing in the country. Voices of youth, artists, journalists and the opposition are being suppressed. I want to tell Gen Z to come forward, we are all with you. This country belongs to all of us, and we will have to unite to fight for it. The nation comes first — if the nation exists, we all exist.”
