In Madhya Pradesh’s Khargone district, a speeding car rammed into a family riding a motorcycle on Wednesday evening. Two young children died in the accident, while their parents sustained serious injuries. The father suffered a head injury and fractured leg, while the mother sustained severe injuries to the lower part of her waist. According to information, the accident took place near the Shani Temple in Katargaon. Devkaran Chauhan, a resident of Sejgaon, was travelling to his in-laws’ house in Mirzapur along with his wife Ranu Chauhan and their two children on a motorcycle. The family was heading to attend a religious Katha programme when the accident occurred on the way. See pictures related to the accident… After the collision, all four people on the bike fell far away According to eyewitnesses, a Maharashtra-registered Hyundai Creta car (MH14MZ3000) was coming from the Maheshwar side at around 6 pm. Near Katargaon, the speeding car hit the motorcycle, throwing all four riders far away. The car also veered into a field. As soon as information about the incident was received, Mandleshwar police reached the spot. The injured were taken to the Community Health Centre. At the hospital, doctors tried to save 2-year-old Shriyansh and 3-year-old Ganika. The medical team administered CPR to both children, but they had died before reaching the hospital. Husband’s leg fractured, wife’s condition critical In the accident, Devkaran Chauhan suffered a fractured leg and serious head injuries. Wife Ranu Chauhan is also in critical condition. After primary treatment, both were referred to Khargone District Hospital at around 7:30 pm. The children’s maternal grandfather said preparations for a religious Katha programme were underway at home. The entire family was coming to attend the event, but the accident snatched away their happiness. A wave of mourning has spread across Mirzapur and Sejgaon after the tragedy. After treatment, injured referred to Dhamnod Medical Officer Sujit Yadav said the woman sustained serious injuries near her waist. He said her exact condition would become clear after the X-ray report. After treatment, the injured were referred to Dhamnod. At present, both husband and wife are said to be out of danger. He said the boy had suffered a deep head injury, while the girl sustained serious injuries near her thigh. Both children had died at the spot itself. After being brought to the hospital, doctors made every possible effort to save them by administering CPR, but they could not survive. Car occupants absconded after the accident Mandleshwar police said the bodies of the children have been sent for postmortem. The Creta car has been seized. The occupants of the car fled after the accident. Search operations are underway to trace the accused, who will be arrested soon. Investigation into the matter is ongoing.
