A massive fire broke out late Monday night at the Bharat Petrol Pump in the Pachore area of Rajgarh district, leaving 13 people injured. The blaze also destroyed 12 motorcycles and a diesel tanker. On Tuesday, a new video of the incident surfaced, showing a severely burnt young man worrying about his money instead of seeking medical treatment. In the video, the youth is seen sitting near a roadside cement water tank close to the petrol pump, with his burnt clothes stuck to his body. People around him are pouring water to provide relief while urging him to get into an ambulance that had arrived at the spot. However, the injured youth repeatedly says he has money with him. People nearby try to convince him that medical treatment is more important and assure him that the money can be searched for later. Upon receiving information, fire and police teams arrived and brought the fire under control after much effort. 13 people were injured in the accident, one of whom is said to be in serious condition. According to Pachore Police Station in-charge Shakuntala Bamnia, one seriously injured person has been referred to Indore. The remaining injured are undergoing treatment at hospitals in Pachore and Shajapur. Compliance with safety standards at the petrol pump and the fuel filling process during the incident are also being investigated.
