Raised questions on election process While speaking to journalists, Congress leader Jitu Patwari questioned the election process in West Bengal, alleging that democracy had been “murdered” and the polls had been “looted.” He claimed that officers were transferred in the middle of the election process, and the voting rights of nearly 70 lakh people were affected. According to him, such incidents pose a serious threat to the democratic system and send a wrong message to future generations. Patwari further alleged that the elections were not conducted in a fair and transparent manner. Concern expressed over malnutrition situation in the State The State Congress President also expressed concern over the serious situation of malnutrition in Satna district. He said that the highest malnutrition is being observed in the district, but the government is only making claims. Raising questions, he said, how is it possible to nourish a child with just ₹40? He alleged that only corruption is being done in the name of eliminating malnutrition, and the benefits of the schemes are not reaching needy children properly. Jitu Patwari said that basic systems like health and nutrition in the state are continuously weakening. He demanded that the government work seriously on the actual situation of malnutrition and implement a transparent system.
