Man harasses woman constable in Indore:Asks, ‘Are you single? will you come with me?’; begs for forgiveness after arrest

In Indore, a miscreant molested a lady constable who was walking on the streets at night. An Activa-riding youth approached the walking constable and said, ‘Are you single? Will you come along?’ In fact, the police in Indore are continuously running a campaign to prevent crimes against women. As part of this, the police conducted a sting operation in the Vijay Nagar area to catch miscreants. Under this, two female police officers were sent to patrol outside Meghdoot Garden from 12 am to 1 am on Sunday night. They, along with the team, caught a miscreant red-handed. Police team present in the car ACP Parag Saini stated that during the sting operation, a team in a car was present around the lady constable. All activities were monitored through cameras. As soon as the accused’s act came to light, he was arrested. As soon as he was caught by the police, he started apologizing for his act. Accused works in an IT company The accused who molested the constable has been identified as 27-year-old Sarvesh Sahu. Sarvesh, a resident of Sagar, works in an IT company in Indore. Preliminary investigation has revealed that he often used to molest women when he saw them alone.
