Sapna Bhadauria, a sixth-semester student of B.Com Honours, had a GST paper. In her place, Vishakha Maheshwari, a B.Tech student from an engineering college, arrived to take the exam. NSUI leader Jayesh Parihar complained to the staff. When the staff questioned Vishakha, she got nervous and confessed that she had come to take the exam in place of Sapna. In return, she had received ₹3,000. Within three days, two such cases have come to light at Samrat Vikram University and its affiliated colleges, where attempts were made to get exams written by solvers. This has now raised serious questions about the examination system. Read this report to know the complete matter NSUI leader Jayesh claims that students from Sapna’s class had already informed him that she has not been coming to give exams herself for several semesters, and other girls have been giving papers in her place. Based on this information, NSUI workers were keeping watch at the examination center. As soon as the paper started, they informed the university administration, after which the fake examinee was caught. Five previous semesters are also under investigation Police are now also investigating from this angle whether Sapna has been getting exams taken by solvers before as well. Madhavnagar Police Station TI Gajendra Pachoriya said that old semester answer sheets have been requested from the university. After examining them, it will become clear whether someone else had taken the exam previously or not. NSUI’s allegation is that this is not an isolated case, but could be an organized racket. According to Jayesh Parihar, ‘Sapna herself did not come to take the exam in the last several semesters. Every time, some other girl would take the paper and leave. Now, Vishakha has been caught, so the matter has come to light.’ Suspicion of solver gang, third accused in custody Police have also taken the third accused, Rishabh, into custody in the case. The investigation has revealed that he was the one who prepared Vishakha to take the exam for Sapna. Caution was also exercised in the money transaction. Instead of taking money directly from Sapna, the amount was deposited into her friend’s account, and from there, the money reached Rishabh. The police have seized Rishabh’s mobile and are investigating his contacts. An attempt is being made to find out whether he had provided solvers for other students as well. University’s system under question Around 480 courses’ examinations are conducted at Samrat Vikram University. In such a situation, questions are being raised that if a student organization has to provide information, only then a fake examinee is caught, then how effective is the university’s surveillance system? Vice Chancellor Prof. Arpan Bhardwaj said that now not only the admit card but also the Aadhaar card has been made mandatory for entry into the examination. He admitted that there was scope for irregularities in the earlier system. The Vice Chancellor also said that a large number of guest faculty are deployed for examination duty. Sometimes they are unable to be strict due to avoiding disputes or pressure. Now, they have been given clear instructions to ensure identity verification without coming under any pressure. Commerce paper, solver was a B.Tech student The most shocking aspect of the case is that a B.Com student sent a B.Tech student to take the exam in her place. Whereas the syllabus of both courses are completely different. Commerce has business, accounting, and finance-based subjects, while B.Tech is a technical and engineering-based course. Vice-Chancellor said that student will not be able to sit in any exam now Vice-Chancellor Prof. Arpan Bhardwaj said that strict action will be taken in the matter. He said that such action will be taken that the concerned student will not be able to appear in any examination of the university in the future. Wherever there is a flaw in the system, it will be corrected. He informed that no student will be allowed entry into the examination hall without Aadhaar card verification. If the investigation reveals the role of any employee or other person, action will be taken against them as well. TI said- Searching through old records Madhavnagar Police Station TI Gajendra Pachoriya informed that both female students have already been arrested. Now, Rishabh is being interrogated. Along with checking his mobile, old records are also being examined. Old answer sheets have been requested from the university to find out whether someone else had taken the exam before or not. Friend caught taking exam in place of soldier A similar case came to light at Madhav Science College as well. Here, during the BSc. Third Year Physics examination, invigilator Dr. Ratnesh Sharma became suspicious of a student. During questioning, he confessed that he had come to take the exam in place of his friend Brajpal. According to TI Pachoria, Brajpal has already got a job in the army and was on duty. In his place, his friend Rajesh, who is a security guard at Mahakal Temple, had come to take the exam. A case has been registered against both of them. Credit war also begins over action The university administration and NSUI have come face-to-face over the credit for action in the Sapna case. NSUI alleges that action was taken after their information, while the university administration itself remained a silent spectator for a long time. Jayesh Parihar said that the university has a complete system including principals, supervisors, professors, and flying squads. Then why were the fake examinees not caught? Fake examinee was caught in 2023 as well This is not the first time this has happened. In 2023, at Madhav Arts College, another young man was caught taking the exam in place of a second-year student. At that time, during interrogation, he had also admitted that he had come to take the exam in place of someone else, but he fled from the spot before any action could be taken. In that case, neither was a police complaint filed nor was any serious investigation conducted at the university level. Now, the cases that are continuously coming to light have raised serious questions about the university’s examination system.
