Over 1,300 traffic violators fined in Indore crackdown, police wheel-lock wrongly parked vehicles The traffic police in Indore continued its crackdown against rule violators and took action against 1,305 people during a special drive across the city. According to officials, action was taken against 237 people for wrong parking, 626 for riding without helmets, 31 for talking on mobile phones while driving, 138 for improper number plates, and 81 for violating one-way traffic rules. Traffic police teams deployed across different zones carried out continuous patrolling on major roads, busy markets and high-traffic areas to curb illegal and disorderly parking. Along with no-parking violations, action was also taken against wrong-side driving, mobile phone usage while driving and reckless driving. Police also wheel-locked several vehicles parked illegally during the operation. Zone-wise action details: Traffic Zone 1: Action was carried out from Bada Ganpati to Airport and back to Bada Ganpati, including Gaurakund, Imli Bazaar and Marimata areas. Traffic Zone 2: Action was taken from Bapat to Vijay Nagar, Rasoma, LIG and adjoining areas. Traffic Zone 3: Drives were conducted from DRP to Lantern, High Court to Palasia, Regal to Dawa Bazaar, Industries House to Janjirwala and up to Ghantaghar. Traffic Zone 4: Action was taken from Tower Chauraha to Khatiwala Tank, Yashwant Road to Bank T, Sarafa Bazaar, Shakkar Gali, Jawahar Marg, Nrusimha Bazaar, Cloth Market and Gorakund areas.
