Rajiv Gandhi Proudyogiki Vishwavidyalaya and Madhya Pradesh Medical Science University may soon be divided into three parts each, with Jabalpur and Ujjain proposed as new regional centers for RGPV, while separate Medical University divisions are planned in Bhopal and Ujjain. The department has begun work on dividing assets, liabilities, and jurisdictions of both universities. Indications of the proposed restructuring emerged after a note sheet from Mohan Yadav reached the concerned departments, with a high-level decision expected soon. MP drafts new policies for farmers The Madhya Pradesh government has prepared the framework for several key decisions related to farmers, urban development, employment, temple security, and rural expansion. The electricity subsidy for farmers receiving 100% free irrigation through pressurized pipelines will be reviewed, while the ₹1 market fee on cotton may be reduced further. A policy is also being drafted to provide reservations to Agniveers in state police and forest recruitment. Under a new Urban Development Department policy, city parks will be developed on the PPP model with facilities such as swimming pools, sports zones, fish and snake houses, environmental interpretation centers, and open gyms. Security of large temples to be handled by Home Guards: Following the pattern of Ujjain’s Mahakaleshwar Temple, Home Guard posts will now be created in other large temples of the state. Their appointments will be made by the respective temple committees. Second Global Summit may be held in January 2027 Preparations are underway to organise the second Global Investors Summit in January 2027. The Industries Department has been instructed to determine focus sectors and prepare a detailed proposal. The event may also be held in a city other than Bhopal. Preparations are underway to establish a Deep Tech Park in Ujjain with the help of IIT Indore. In-principle approval has been received from the center. A financial management and investment model will be prepared for the proposed IT Knowledge City in Bhopal.
