The recruitment process for 1,200 hospital assistant posts in Madhya Pradesh will begin from May 7. Candidates can apply online till May 21, 2026. The move is expected to provide job opportunities to a large number of applicants across the state. As per the details, 324 posts are for the unreserved category, 120 for EWS, 192 for Scheduled Castes, 240 for Scheduled Tribes, and 324 for Other Backwards Classes. A total of 72 posts have been set aside for persons with disabilities. Reservation benefits will also be given to women, ex-servicemen and contractual employees as per rules. Meanwhile, the Madhya Pradesh Employees Selection Board has released the final schedule for 10 recruitment exams for 2026. Over 3,000 posts are expected to be filled in the next six months, and the number may increase further depending on requirements. Regular posts, promotion opportunities also available Candidates selected for the post of Hospital Assistant will receive a salary ranging from ₹15,500 to ₹49,000 (Level-1) as per the 7th Pay Commission. Other facilities, including dearness allowance, will also be provided as per state government rules. The initial salary will be determined according to the posting and rules, but it will increase with experience and length of service. The post is regular, so there will also be opportunities for promotion. Age limit 18 to 40 years, relaxation for reserved categories The age limit for recruitment to the Hospital Assistant post has been set at 18 to 40 years. However, for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, Other Backward Classes, female candidates, and employees working in government institutions, the maximum age will be up to 45 years. Age will be calculated based on January 1, 2026. Additionally, changes made by the General Administration Department from time to time will also be applicable, therefore, candidates should definitely check the rules before applying. Application fee of 500 rupees for the general category According to the official website of the board, the application fee for general category candidates is 500 rupees. For SC, ST, OBC, and EWS category candidates, it will be 250 rupees. Additionally, an extra fee will be charged for applying through an online kiosk. No fee will be charged for backlog posts. Candidates will be selected based on a written examination. Document verification will follow the merit list. The final result will be released and a selection list published, based on which candidates will be appointed. 8 Recruitment and 2 eligibility exams this year According to MPESB, a total of 8 recruitment and 2 eligibility exams are proposed by December 2026 this year. The dates of some exams have been extended by 1 to 2 months. This will give candidates additional time for preparation.
