The NEET-UG exam is being held in Bhopal on Sunday with strict security and clear rules for students. Around 14,000 candidates are appearing at 33 centres across the city. The exam will begin at 2 PM and continue till 5 PM. Students will not be allowed to enter any centre after 1:30 PM under any circumstances. Strict checking at all centres All candidates are going through strict checking before entering the exam halls. Officials are carefully verifying identity and other details to avoid any unfair means. Administration on high alert To ensure a fair and smooth exam, the administration has issued strict guidelines. The district administration is closely monitoring all arrangements. This exemption is effective till 6:00 PM for PwD (PwD/PwBD) candidates. Dress code applicable, shoes prohibited A dress code has also been implemented for candidates appearing in the examination. According to the instructions, only candidates wearing light and half-sleeved clothes will be allowed. Shoes are completely prohibited, while slippers or sandals are allowed. The objective is to facilitate security checks and prevent the entry of any unauthorized material. The administration has clarified that candidates may face difficulties if they come with extra belongings. Parents stopped 100 meters earlier Strict arrangements have also been implemented outside the examination centers. The relatives of the candidates were stopped 100 meters before the examination center. This will help control the crowd around the center and ensure a smooth examination process. The management has also arranged for candidates’ bags and other belongings to be kept 100 meters away from the center. This will maintain discipline and security inside the examination center. Medical team at every center, 108 ambulance on alert Considering the heat and potential health problems, the Health Department has made special arrangements. According to the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) of Bhopal, 66 medical teams have been deployed across the city. One doctor and one paramedical staff will be present at each examination center. In addition, 108 ambulance services have been put on quick response mode to provide immediate assistance in any emergency. Essential medicines and equipment have also been made available at all centers. Arrangements for ORS have also been ensured to protect against the heat. Intern Doctors on Duty, Special Emphasis on Coordination For better health management during the examination, two intern doctors have been assigned duty at each center. Their mobile numbers have also been released so that they can be contacted immediately if needed. Medical teams have also been formed at the zonal level, which will maintain coordination between various centers. The administration states that if any candidate faces health-related issues during the examination, immediate assistance will be provided. Administration’s Focus on Transparency and Security Considering the examination controversies that have emerged in previous years, the administration is fully vigilant this time.
