In a significant administrative reshuffle late Saturday night, the Madhya Pradesh government transferred 62 IPS officers. The Home Department issued the transfer list, which includes officers from ADG, DIG, SP and DCP ranks, assigning them new responsibilities. This long-pending list was finalised after discussions between Chief Minister Dr. Mohan Yadav and DGP Kailash Makwana. Following the recent bank robbery case in Singrauli, SP Manish Khatri has been removed and posted as AIG PHQ. Similarly, SP Sunil Mehta was also removed after the Seoni hawala case and has been appointed DCP Indore. SPs of these 19 districts changed As part of this major reshuffle, priority has been given to law and order concerns. Superintendents of Police from several districts facing controversies have been transferred and given new postings. SPs have been changed in 19 districts of the state, including Bhind, Shivpuri, Rewa, Sagar, Dhar, Morena, Chhatarpur, Khandwa, Neemuch, Pandhurna, Agar Malwa, Anuppur, Mauganj, Dindori, Mandsaur, Datia, Sehore, Singrauli and Seoni. Major reshuffle from SP to DIG level In the transfer order, IPS officers who were serving as SPs after being promoted to DIG rank have also been reassigned. Rewa SP Shailendra Chauhan has been appointed Additional Police Commissioner (Law and Order), Urban Bhopal. Dhar SP Mayank Awasthi has been posted as DIG Narcotics, Indore, with ACP Law and Order responsibility. Jhabua SP Shivdayal has been appointed DIG PHQ, Bhopal. Senior Superintendent of Police (Radio) Riyaz Iqbal has been posted as DIG PHQ. Rahul Kumar Lodha (SP Rail, Bhopal) and Simala Prasad (SP Rail, Jabalpur) have also been posted as DIG PHQ. Similarly, Bhind SP Asit Yadav has been appointed DIG Gwalior Range, while Deputy Commissioner of Police Vivek Singh (Zone-2, Urban Bhopal) has been posted as DIG Shahdol Range. Transfers of these officers Changes in Additional Charge SP posting in Burhanpur yet to be done, Sagar IG’s posting also not done In the list issued by the state government, SP Devendra Pati Dar from Burhanpur has been transferred to Jhabua. However, no new SP has yet been appointed for Burhanpur. Similarly, the post of Sagar IG has been lying vacant after the retirement of Himani Khanna. Another IPS transfer list is expected soon.
