Search operations for four missing persons from the cruise tragedy at Bargi Dam in Jabalpur resumed on Saturday morning at around 7 am. Teams from the Army, along with personnel from the National Disaster Response Force (NDRF) and State Disaster Response Force (SDRF), are conducting intensive search efforts using boats. Strong winds and waves hampering efforts Rescue operations are being severely affected by strong winds and rising waves in the dam. Officials on the spot said that the challenging weather conditions are making it difficult to carry out sustained search operations. Police and administrative officials are also present at the site, closely monitoring the ongoing rescue efforts. Search area expanded amid ongoing efforts The search teams have expanded the area of operation to trace the missing individuals. According to SDOP Anjul Ayank Mishra, search operations are being paused intermittently due to weather conditions and operational safety concerns. He further stated that due to the use of small boats, rescue teams are having to proceed cautiously in strong winds to avoid risks during the operation. Coordinated multi-agency operation continues With the Army, NDRF, and SDRF working together, the multi-agency rescue operation continues in difficult conditions. Authorities remain hopeful but acknowledge that adverse weather remains the biggest challenge in locating the missing persons.
