Gwalior constable dies by suicide after video call with wife:Said, ‘I will be home soon; shot himself minutes later

A constable on duty in Gwalior committed suicide by shooting himself with his service rifle. The incident occurred at 5 AM at the gate of the Second Battalion of SAF. He was on sentry duty at the quarter guard. When colleagues arrived after hearing the gunshot, Constable Kuldeep Anuragi was sitting on a chair in an injured state. Blood was flowing from his chest. His service rifle was lying nearby. Colleagues immediately informed the officers and took him to the hospital. When police personnel reached, he was lying injured and his gun was lying nearby. He had been shot in the chest. Four jawans were deployed on duty at different locations Police investigation revealed that four other jawans were also on duty along with Kuldeep. All were deployed at different locations. Around 4:30 AM in the morning, the commander had come to check, at that time Kuldeep was talking to his family on a video call. Family doesn’t know why Kuldeep did this Kuldeep had joined SAF in 2005. He had been posted in Datia, Shivpuri, Gwalior. He got married 17 years ago. His family includes wife Priyanka Anuragi, son Veer (16), daughter Anaya (15). Both are in tenth grade and study at Kendriya Vidyalaya. No one knows why Kuldeep took this step.
