The Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav will chair the cabinet meeting today, where around 21 important proposals are expected to be approved. The agenda includes decisions related to employees, pension and pay scale benefits following court orders, and projects under the 16th Finance Commission. Major decision: Withdrawal of 2010 anti-terror law proposal The cabinet will approve the withdrawal of the Madhya Pradesh Terrorist and Disruptive Activities and Organized Crime Control Bill, 2010. The meeting will also deliberate on the disposal of 7.73 lakh metric tonnes of leftover paddy purchased during the Kharif 2020 season through e-auction. Additionally, approval will be granted for the creation of one post at the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests level under the Indian Forest Service. Key infrastructure and health sector approvals Several major development proposals are expected to be cleared, including: Public works projects to continue under Finance Commission funding The Public Works Department (PWD) will continue several ongoing works under the 16th Finance Commission period, including repair and maintenance projects. These include: Court-related compliance decisions Based on High Court orders, the cabinet is expected to approve pension benefits for Shakoor Khan in a contempt petition against the state government. Similarly, in another set of petitions, approval is likely for granting pay scale benefits for the post of Amin to Sanjay Kumar Gupta and others in compliance with court directives. Other welfare and administrative approvals Forest sector administrative reform The cabinet will also approve the creation of one post at the Principal Chief Conservator of Forests level under the Indian Forest Service.
