In Dewas on Saturday, 4 huts caught fire. In the accident, approximately seven lakh rupees in notes belonging to one person were burnt. Bundles of half-burnt notes worth two and a half lakh rupees have been found. The flames also caused damage to the Khatushyam temple built near the huts. The accident occurred on Friday afternoon around 12:30 PM in the Newri Phata area of Dewas, behind the police post. In no time, the fire engulfed four huts. The people living in the huts somehow saved their lives. However, most of their belongings were burnt in the fire. Fire brought under control in two hours As soon as information about the incident was received, fire brigade teams from Dewas and Sonkachh reached the spot. After about two hours of effort, the fire was completely brought under control at around 2:30 PM. A family has suffered heavy losses in this fire incident. According to the victims, approximately 2 to 2.5 lakh rupees in cash kept in their hut were burnt to ashes. Additionally, the nearby Khatu Shyam Temple also suffered partial damage due to the flames. The cause of the fire has not been ascertained yet. The administration is assessing the damage.
