They were awaiting a call that would signal the execution of their plan. At approximately 10:30 PM, Ajay received a call from Kshamabai, the wife of the victim Vishram Gathey. Sachin allegedly held Vishram from behind while Ajay repeatedly struck his head with an iron hammer, killing him on the spot. ‘Job done’ call after murder After committing the crime, the accused fled the scene on their motorcycle under the cover of darkness. Ajay then called Kshamabai, informing her that the “job was done” and that her husband was no longer an obstacle. Attempt to pass off murder as accident The next morning, April 15, the accused attempted to portray the murder as a road accident. Vishram’s son, Kanhaiya Gathey, was informed that his father had met with an accident. However, upon reaching the spot, he noticed severe injuries to his father’s head, right eye, and face, raising suspicion. Postmortem exposes truth With the help of emergency services, Vishram was taken to the district hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The postmortem report confirmed that the death was not accidental but a homicide, prompting a police investigation. Affair and conspiracy revealed During the investigation, police examined CCTV footage and call records, which uncovered a long-standing illicit relationship between Ajay Billore and his aunt, Kshamabai. Police said the two had been in a relationship for six years. Kshamabai had even eloped with Ajay to Indore and stayed there for about a week before being brought back by her husband. Frequent domestic disputes followed, which she reportedly shared with Ajay while planning the murder. Motive: Fear and relationship conflict During interrogation, Ajay claimed that Vishram had discovered the affair and had been threatening to kill him. “He said he would buy a gun and shoot me once he had money,” Ajay told police, adding that he committed the murder out of fear and to remove an obstacle in their relationship. “If we hadn’t killed him, he would have killed us,” he said. Wife shows no remorse Kshamabai reportedly confessed to her role, stating that she had been in a relationship with her nephew for six years and was unhappy in her marriage. “I got my husband killed. I have no regret. I am free now. I wanted to live with my boyfriend,” she told police. Accused arrested, sent to jail Station House Officer Roshanlal Bharti said that Kshamabai, her boyfriend Ajay Billore, and his associate Sachin Nishod have been arrested. The accused were presented before a court, which remanded them to judicial custody. Further investigation in the case is ongoing.
