Amid IPL 2026, Virat Kohli came into discussion for liking a photo of German model LizLaz. After starring for Royal Challengers Bengaluru and helping his team beat Lucknow Super Giants, Virat’s Instagram activity sent social media into meltdown. Photographer Advait Vaidya, who clicked LizLaz’s photo, shared a screenshot claiming that an old photo of LizLaz was liked from Virat’s official account.

Who is LizLaz? LizLaz is a German-South African model, vlogger and influencer, who is known in India for her travel content (like the ‘Samosa Samosa’ video). She had told in an interview to Filmimantra that Virat Kohli is her favourite cricketer.
As soon as the screenshot of Virat Kohli’s like went viral on social media, several users reacted to it. However, it is still not clear whether Kohli actually liked it or if it was an algorithm error.
