Jabalpur Police, acting against illegal knife supply, arrested accused Paras Jain on Thursday night from the Mother Teresa area. A joint team of the Crime Branch and Madhotal Police Station recovered around 50 Chinese knives from his possession. The Crime Branch had received a tip-off about a large stock of knives being stored and supplied from a house in Madhotal. After verifying the information, the team cordoned off the area and carried out the raid. 50 Chinese knives found during house search During the raid, Paras Jain, who was present in the house, was taken into custody. Upon searching, about 50 Chinese knives were recovered from him, which were being prepared for sale. The accused has been arrested and handed over to the Madhotal police station. Police are interrogating him to find out where the knives were brought from and to whom they were to be supplied. Strict action underway on SP’s instructions To curb the illegal knife trade in the district, SP Sampat Upadhyay has issued strict instructions. Under this, the Crime Branch and police stations are continuously taking action. Knife recovery case had occurred earlier at Garha police station About three months ago, the Garha Police Station recovered 50 Chinese knives from a general store. In the case, Brajesh Yadav was arrested, who had informed about buying knives in bulk from a person in Omati. The current case is being investigated by linking it to the same network.
