In Gwalior, three brothers died one after another within 8 months. One died under suspicious circumstances, while two committed suicide by hanging. In August 2025, a son who went to meet someone never returned alive. After that, within the last 20 days, two brothers hanged themselves. Now only elderly parents and one brother remain in the family. The case is of Mohan Dhanak’s family, a resident of New Saket Nagar Padav. Police are investigating all three deaths, but the reason for any of them could not be determined. Father Mohan has accused the police of negligence in the investigation and demanded financial assistance from the government. Incident-1: Body of youngest son found on August 1, 2025 On August 1, 2025, the body of Mohan Dhanak’s youngest son Dharmendra (25) was found in Laxmiganj. On July 29, he had left home while talking on his mobile phone. On July 30, his mobile was found with Krishna Jha, a resident of Tighra police station area. After Dharmendra’s death, when his siblings reached the incident site, the tea shop owner told them that Dharmendra was experiencing severe anxiety before his death. There were no injuries on his body, nor had any accident occurred there. Incident-2: Elder son committed suicide by hanging, reason unknown On March 19, 2026, around 6:30 PM, the eldest son Amar Singh (38) committed suicide by hanging at his home in Rairu. He lived separately from the family. When Amar hanged himself, his wife Priyanka had gone to the doctor with their son. His 8-year-old son is mentally challenged. Incident-3: Middle son hanged himself after returning from the market The middle son Neeraj Dhanuk (27) worked a private job. On the night of April 12, 2026, he came back from the market, had dinner, went to his room first, then to the terrace. When his wife Rupali arrived after some time, she found him hanging from a noose. Seeing this, she screamed. Hearing his voice, father Mohan, mother Anita, and sister Priyanka arrived. When they checked his pulse, he was still breathing. They immediately brought him down from the noose and took him to the hospital, where doctors declared him dead. The reasons could not be ascertained yet. Father says, ‘Son’s death was not even investigated’ Neeraj’s father Mohan Dhanuk said that 8 months ago, the police did not investigate the death of his son Dharmendra. Neither did they check the CCTV nor give the postmortem report. He alleged that the police were negligent, due to which the cause of death could not be determined. Dharmendra had last left home while talking on the phone. After this, the second son hanged himself 20 days ago and now the third one has also committed suicide. Father Mohan said that the financial condition of the house is bad and now there is no one left to earn. He demanded financial assistance from the government and an investigation into the death of his son Dharmendra. Padav Thana in-charge Shailendra Bhargava said- A young man has hanged himself. Before this, his brother had also hanged himself. A case has been registered and an investigation is being conducted. Action will be taken based on the investigation.
