A retired Subedar from Bhind, who served in the army during the Kargil War, has threatened to commit self-immolation along with his family on April 15. Retired Subedar Haridas Daiyapuriya says that he is wandering for justice, but the murderers have not been caught yet. His son has also accused the police of ignoring the case. He says that the police have as if closed the file of this case. Both his sons live outside, while the daughters-in-law and children live in Bhind. He told that I used to sleep in the sitting room downstairs and my wife used to sleep on a cot on the terrace. She used to sleep outside the room due to the heat. The house is surrounded by fields on all sides. There isn’t much population around. It’s not understood how the criminals reached the roof. According to Haridas, 10 lakh rupees were kept for the granddaughter’s wedding, of which four and a half lakhs and about 30 tolas of gold and silver were taken by the criminals.
