On the Damoh–Sagar state highway in Madhya Pradesh, a truck first hit a Bolero and then collided with a motorcycle on Friday evening, leaving four people dead on the spot and five others seriously injured. The incident took place in Bansa Tarkheda village under Dehat police station limits. According to information, the accident occurred around 4:30 pm near Gulab Baba temple. The deceased have been identified as Raju Chaudhary and Dharmendra, son of Raghavendra Sirwaiya, residents of Magron. The two bike riders killed in the accident were identified as Jeevan Ahirwar (39) and Lakhhan Ahirwar, both brothers from Bansa Tarkheda village. How the accident happened Eyewitnesses said the truck was coming from Sagar towards Damoh, while the Bolero was travelling from Damoh towards Sagar. The truck first hit the Bolero and then rammed into the motorcycle. The impact was so severe that both vehicles were badly damaged, and panic spread at the scene with blood stains visible on the vehicles. Jeevan was working in Indore, while his brother Suraj worked in farming at home. Family members said the two brothers were on their way to Damoh when the accident took place. The father of the deceased said he had served in the Army as a Havildar and retired in 2023. He added that his son Narayan’s engagement was scheduled for today. Suraj had three daughters and one son, while Jeevan had a son and a daughter. The accident has left the families devastated. Rescue operation underway Damoh Tehsildar Robin Singh said the accident occurred near Gulab Baba temple around 4:30 pm. Police teams from Dehat police station and Sagar Naka outpost reached the spot soon after receiving information. A rescue operation is underway to remove those trapped inside the damaged vehicles with the help of locals. Hospital alert and treatment The injured have been shifted to the district hospital for immediate treatment. Post-mortem of the deceased will be conducted before handing over the bodies to the families. The hospital administration had already been put on alert and all necessary arrangements have been made to ensure timely treatment.
