The annual reunion ceremony named “Connections” of the IIMC Alumni Association’s Madhya Pradesh Chapter was held in Bhopal. At the event, Chandan Roy, a popular actor from the OTT series Panchayat, was honored with the Alumni of the Year Award. Chandan Roy, an IIMC alumnus, has also previously worked as a journalist. Alumni of the Indian Institute of Mass Communication from different parts of the state arrived in Bhopal to participate in this annual event. The ceremony was presided over by MP Chapter President Ashish Joshi. During this, former Director General of the institute Professor Sanjay Dwivedi, Vice President Deepti Chaursiya, former President Anil Saumitra, General Secretary Mansi Samadhiya, senior alumni Dinesh Kumar, PK Mohanty, and Siddharth Samal, among many members, shared their views. All speakers shared their professional journeys and inspired each other through their experiences. All members credited Ritesh Verma, co-founder of the organization, for IIMCAA being a successful and strong organization. ‘IIMC proved to be a crucial turn’, says Chandan Roy Alumni of the Year Chandan Roy, while mentioning his life struggles in his address, says, ‘IIMC proved to be an important turning point for him, which played a significant role in realizing his acting dreams.’ Professor Sanjay Dwivedi said that ‘the history of Indian journalism cannot be written without mentioning IIMC’s contribution.’ Earlier, President Professor Anil Saumitra shared his experiences and infused enthusiasm and encouragement among everyone. Along with this, many active members, including Ankit Francis, Komal Badodekar, and Anant Singh, took charge of the program. At the end of the program, the evening was concluded with an interesting discussion of anecdotes and experiences. Along with this, all members of the MP Chapter also took a pledge to continuously fulfill their responsibilities towards society.
