cheating-video-surfaces-in-ba-bsc-exam-in-gwalior:nsui-stages-protest;-alleges-involvement-of-college-and-officials

A video of cheating during BA and BSc second-year exams has surfaced at Jiwaji University in Gwalior. Following this, NSUI staged a protest on Tuesday, accusing the university administration of enabling malpractice. NSUI district president Paras Yadav held a sit-in outside the Registrar’s office, alleging that cheating was carried out with the administration’s involvement. The video is said to be from an exam centre where students are seen copying using books, mobile phones and other means. The exam reportedly took place on Saturday. NSUI claims the students seen are from Shanti Devi College. Questions have also been raised over the change of exam centres before the exams, reportedly done on the instructions of Registrar Rajeev Mishra. Objections had earlier been raised over making a government model school in Pahargarh, Morena, an exam centre. NSUI has alleged collusion between Shanti Devi College operator Dhananjay Upadhyay and the Registrar, claiming the centre was shifted to a remote area to facilitate cheating. Paras Yadav said videos and photos have been submitted to the Vice-Chancellor. He warned of a major protest, even in Bhopal, if action is not taken.
