On Monday, a case of obscene behavior by a male passenger surfaced on a bus from Satna to Ramnagar in Maihar district. Based on the victim’s protest and video evidence, police registered a case against the accused, Alok Sinha, an Assistant Professor at Amarpatan PG College. The victim boarded the bus from Satna. Near Bhatnwara, Sinha sat on a vacant seat next to her and initially tried to talk before making obscene gestures. The woman courageously recorded his actions on her phone and lodged a complaint at the Amarpatan police station as soon as the bus arrived. Reports say the accused first tried to pressure her into a compromise, and when she refused, he threatened to kill her and fled the scene. Assaulted the Principal before It is reported that Assistant Professor Alok Sinha had previously assaulted Dr. S.P. Singh, the acting principal of the college. An FIR was lodged against him at the Amarpatan police station. This information was sent to the Commissioner of the Higher Education Department.
