A minor car collision outside the MLA Rest House in Arera Hills, Bhopal, escalated into a dispute and a physical altercation late Wednesday night. Police arrested four youths based on a complaint by Devraj Singh Gurjar, son of Congress MLA Dinesh Gurjar. However, the accused youths’ mother, Usha Yadav, alleged that Devraj and his associates also assaulted her sons inside the police station after they were brought there by the police, beating them with belts. Three brothers injured in assault According to Usha Yadav, three real brothers were injured in the incident. The family alleges that no action was taken on their complaint. They have demanded an impartial investigation into the matter and the public release of CCTV footage from the incident site and the police station. During this time, some youths were creating a ruckus outside the MLA Rest House after drinking alcohol. When asked to move from there, the youths started abusing and misbehaving. According to him, the youths also tried to snatch things, after which the dispute escalated. Dispute started after car collision According to the police, Rohan Yadav, a resident of Yadavpura, arrived at the MLA Rest House by car with his maternal cousin, Honey. During this, his car lightly collided with another car parked there. Following this, an argument ensued between the two parties, which quickly escalated into a physical altercation. Police investigating CCTV footage After the incident, both parties have leveled serious allegations against each other. Police state that, as part of the investigation, CCTV footage from the scene and other available footage are also being examined. Further action will be taken based on the investigation report.
