Radha Charan Patel has alleged: “Our daughter was married at the doctor’s place in Gharakota. The doctor called at 4 a.m., saying Seema wasn’t speaking and was unconscious. We left immediately for Sagar. Later, the doctor called again, saying a truck had hit the car and it went into a ditch. We feel he deliberately harmed her. How it happened will come out in the report. They brought her dead and tried to erase all traces.” According to Radha Charan Patel, three other people were in the car. They were completely unharmed and escaped safely. “This is a complete conspiracy. He had also taken another car and probably insured it,” he added. Seema Kurmi, 38, was found in a burnt condition in a car on the Sagar–Gharakota road. Her father and brother have accused Dr. Nilesh Kurmi of murder. Following this, police have taken Dr. Nilesh and his two associates into custody for questioning. Police stated that the car had three men with Seema at the time. A detailed post-mortem report is awaited to confirm the exact cause of death. According to the father and brother, the couple had ongoing disputes, and Seema suspected Dr. Nilesh of having an extramarital affair, which is also being investigated. Fire brigade teams reached the scene and brought the flames under control. Before the incident, Dr. Nilesh had informed his father-in-law that Seema was experiencing chest pain and might be having a heart attack, and he was taking her to Rai Hospital in Sagar. Hearing this, Seema’s family from Junna village left for Sagar. Dr. Nilesh, along with his two associates (Ramkrishna and another), was driving Seema from Gharakota toward Sagar. During the journey, Nilesh called again to report that a truck had collided with the car. Shortly afterward, he called again to say the car was on fire near Chanatoria. The family was not informed further. Brother said – There was no CNG in the car, disputes used to happen over phone Seema’s brother, Lokesh Patel, stated that Dr. Nilesh had purchased a new Tata Punch car about a month ago, running on petrol and CNG. Two days before the incident, Nilesh informed them the car had no CNG and was running on petrol. Gharakota has no CNG station, making the possibility of a blast suspicious. Seema’s father, Radha Charan Kurmi, said Nilesh used to arrive home late at night, which caused suspicion and disputes between the couple. About a year ago, Nilesh allegedly physically assaulted Seema during a disagreement. Seema, a resident of Junna village, had married Dr. Nilesh Kurmi from Simaria 15 years ago. The couple lived in Gharakota and had two sons and a daughter. Police suspect use of flammable substance Initial police investigation suggests the fire may have involved an accelerant. According to authorities, considering the intensity of burning inside the car, the vehicle itself did not burn entirely. During the fire, the driver-side and rear doors were locked. Dr. Nilesh and his companion behind him escaped through the side gate, but they could not rescue Seema. A post-mortem has been conducted, and only the report will clarify whether Seema died from burns or prior to them. Station in-charge says – Forensic team collected evidence Sanawda Police Station in-charge Bharat Singh Thakur said a CNG kit was installed in the car, but the exact cause of the fire is not yet confirmed. The forensic (FSL) team inspected the car remains and collected evidence. Police are treating the death as suspicious. Investigations are ongoing into all aspects of the case, including the unusual burning pattern of Seema’s body inside the car.
