A real estate businessman in Indore has received a serious death threat from a person claiming links to gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. The incident took place in the South Tukoganj area and has raised concerns among local authorities. According to police officials, the businessman, identified as Sanjay Jain, received a threatening phone call on Thursday. When he disconnected the call, he later received a voice message on his mobile phone. In the audio message, the caller introduced himself as “Harry Boxer” and claimed to be a member of Bishnoi’s gang. The caller demanded ₹15 crore from Jain and warned of serious consequences if the money was not paid. Following the threat, Jain approached the Crime Branch and filed a formal complaint. Based on his complaint, the case has been forwarded to Tukoganj police station, where an FIR is being registered and further investigation is underway. Additional DCP Rajesh Dandotiya confirmed the incident and said that similar extortion threats in the name of Lawrence Bishnoi have been reported from multiple districts. He added that police are taking such cases seriously and are working to trace the source of these calls and messages. As a precautionary measure, police have also provided security to the businessman to ensure his safety. Officials suspect that such threats may be part of a larger pattern aimed at creating fear among business communities. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities are trying to identify the accused and verify the authenticity of the claims made in the voice message.
