A video of a scuffle between a Block Medical Officer (BMO) and a nursing officer has surfaced. The incident took place at the civil hospital in Khilchipur in Rajgarh district. Block Medical Officer Dr Himanshu Meena and nursing officer Madhuri Dhote got into a physical confrontation. The nursing officer has accused the BMO of assault and attempting to snatch her mobile phone. Meanwhile, Dr Meena claimed that Dhote behaved inappropriately with the hospital staff. Both sides have filed complaints against each other at Khilchipur Police Station. A video has also emerged showing the scuffle and the nursing officer crying uncontrollably outside the police station gate. Speaking to media persons present there, Madhuri Dhote pointed towards the BMO and said, “They beat me and locked me inside a room. Please record their video.” Madhuri also called one of her acquaintances and said, “Brother, my life is in danger.” Madhuri Dhote (29) is a resident of Betul district. She has been working as a nursing officer for about six months at the Nutrition Rehabilitation Centre (NRC) of the Khilchipur Civil Hospital. Nursing Officer said – February attendance was marked zero, salary not received Madhuri told the police that she regularly performs her duties, but her attendance for February was marked as zero. As a result, she did not receive her salary. She said that when she reached the hospital on Sunday morning, doctors were not present and cleaning work was underway. She started recording a video of the situation, but the staff tried to stop her. Madhuri alleged that staff members behaved rudely with her and then called BMO Dr Meena. After he arrived, the staff allegedly assaulted her and snatched her mobile phone. She also claimed that she was locked inside a room. She further alleged that several irregularities were taking place in the hospital. According to her, doctors do not arrive on time, poor women are asked to pay money for deliveries, the number of children in the NRC is shown higher in records, and employees work without uniforms. BMO said – Misbehavior with staff, scuffle with nurses On the other hand, BMO Dr Himanshu Meena rejected all the allegations and termed them baseless. He said nursing officer Madhuri often remains on long leave. A digital attendance system is implemented in the hospital, and since her February attendance was recorded as zero, she did not receive her salary. He said that on Sunday morning Madhuri came to the hospital but instead of doing her duty she started recording videos of the staff. When objections were raised, she began arguing. According to Meena, when he reached the hospital, Madhuri used abusive language against him as well. She allegedly also got into a scuffle with nurses Maya Mewade and Priyal Namdev who had come to intervene. Meena said that Madhuri twisted his thumb and injured him with her nails. After this, he informed Khilchipur TI Umashankar Mukati and CMHO Shobha Patel over the phone. A written complaint signed by hospital staff was then submitted at the police station. TI said – Will take action after investigating the facts At present, the police are investigating the matter based on complaints from both sides. The TI said that further action will be taken only after examining the video footage and other facts.
