On Tuesday morning in Guna’s Gader Valley, an unknown truck rear-ended an LPG gas-filled tanker, causing the tanker’s main valve to break and approximately 20 tons of LPG gas to rapidly leak. However, the driver’s alertness and the rescue team’s quick action averted the danger in time. According to information, this tanker had loaded about 20 tons of LPG gas from the GAIL Vijaypur bottling plant and was heading to Banaras. As soon as the tanker reached near the Gader Valley, a speeding unknown truck hit it from behind. The collision was so severe that the tanker’s valve was damaged and gas began leaking throughout the area. Being a valley region, the gas pressure and wind direction were indicating a potential disaster. Immediately after the incident, instead of panicking, tanker driver Shailendra Singh promptly informed the GAIL plant and local administration. Upon receiving the information, GAIL’s special rescue team and fire brigade vehicles reached the spot. Traffic was stopped for safety reasons, and the expert team managed to control the leak after intense efforts. After the leak was stopped, the tanker was sent back to the plant under security escort. In this regard, ASI Om Prakash Sharma said that the police reached the spot and controlled the situation. A case has been registered against the unknown truck driver, and a search for him has begun. The quick action of the driver and rescue team is being praised, as even a small spark during the leak could have turned the entire area into ashes.
