A major fire broke out on Monday afternoon in Bhopal’s Bagh Umrao Dulha area. The incident happened around 3:30 PM when a fire suddenly started on the roof of a three-storey house. Thick smoke and flames spread quickly, creating panic in the residential area. After receiving the information, fire tenders from nearby fire stations rushed to the spot and brought the fire under control. Eyewitnesses said that several oil tins were kept on the upper floor of the building. The fire reportedly started from these tins and spread rapidly within a short time. Because of the oil, dense smoke filled the entire area and flames rose nearly 10 feet high. Residents of nearby houses became frightened after seeing the smoke and flames. Fire brigade teams started efforts to control the fire soon after reaching the spot. Local people also helped the firefighters during the operation, after which the situation was brought under control.
