A case has come to light where 6 new recruits undergoing training at Police Training School Rewa made and went viral with reels in uniform on social media. Considering the dialogues spoken in the reel contrary to the dignity of the police department, officials have issued show cause notices to all new recruits. All new recruits are currently undergoing training in Rewa. These are the new recruits who made the reel The reel was posted in ‘Matiamet Group’ According to information, on February 25, 2026, at 3:04 PM, a reel featuring uniformed new recruits was posted in the “Matiamet Group” on the social media platform X (Twitter). By 8:04 PM, this reel had been viewed more than 5,010 times, along with several negative comments about the police department. The dialogues in the reel were- “What if we don’t have good looks? we have a government job… What if we don’t have money? we get a monthly salary… What if we don’t have clothes? We have a uniform…” Department’s strict stance, warning of action Police headquarters Bhopal has issued instructions from time to time that during official work and training period, no videos or reels in uniform should be shared on social media. During training, both internal and external trainers had also instructed to avoid such acts. Prima facie, officials have acknowledged that the words and actions used in the reel are detrimental to the image of a disciplined force like the police. Immediate clarification has been sought from all new constables. A warning of disciplinary action has also been given in case a satisfactory response is not received.
