A 22-year-old man was found hanging from an advertisement pole near the Agricultural Produce Market on Khurai Road in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar district late Monday night. His family has accused four people of murdering him and staging the incident to look like suicide. Police have registered a case and begun an investigation. According to police, locals spotted the body hanging from a noose tied to the pole and immediately alerted authorities. A police team reached the spot and brought the body down. A panchnama was conducted at the scene, and the body was later sent to the district hospital for post-mortem examination. The deceased was identified as Hiralal Ahirwar, son of Parmalal Ahirwar and a resident of Gadholi Khurd village. His family members reached the spot soon after being informed and confirmed his identity. Family alleges assault and murder Hiralal’s brother, Santosh Ahirwar, alleged that his brother was assaulted by some individuals at a nearby intersection earlier that night. He claimed that Hiralal returned home after the assault and called the Chief Minister’s helpline number 181 using Santosh’s mobile phone to report the incident. Santosh further alleged that the same four individuals later came to their house, forcibly took Hiralal away, and subsequently killed him before hanging his body from the pole. “When I reached the spot, my brother was hanging from the pole and had already died. I immediately informed the police,” Santosh said, accusing the four men of murder. Case registered, post-mortem awaited Motinagar police have registered a case based on the family’s complaint and started an investigation. Officials said the exact cause of death will be determined after the post-mortem report is received. Police said further action will be taken based on medical findings and evidence collected during the investigation.
