A pickup truck overturned after crashing into the divider of an under-construction bridge in Narsinghpur, leaving three labourers dead and seven others injured. Four of the injured are reported to be in a serious condition. All the injured have been admitted to Kareli Civil Hospital. The accident took place at around 11:30 am on Monday on National Highway 44, within the jurisdiction of the Barman police outpost. 10 labourers travelling for highway work According to Suatala police station, a total of 10 labourers were travelling in the vehicle. All are believed to be residents of Surla Khapa village in Chhindwara district. They were on their way to carry out construction work in the highway in Narsinghpur. The names of the deceased and the injured have not yet been disclosed. Bodies sent for post-mortem The Barman police outpost has sent the bodies of the three deceased for post-mortem examination. A preliminary investigation indicates that the vehicle losing control is likely to have caused the accident. Police Station In-charge Priyanka Kewat stated that two people died at the scene, while another succumbed to injuries while being taken to hospital.
