In Mandsaur district of Madhya Pradesh, a mob brutally thrashed a man on Sunday evening over a rumor of child theft in the Kotwali police station area. The crowd tied his hands and feet, dragged him on the road, and repeatedly kicked and punched him while some bystanders recorded the assault. The man was reportedly seen roaming in the Narsinghpur area when locals, acting on suspicion, mistook him for a child thief. Within minutes, a crowd gathered and began beating him without any verification. Police rescued him and took him to station Upon receiving information about the incident, the Kotwali police team reached the spot. They rescued the person from the mob and took him to the police station. During interrogation, he could not provide clear information. Residents told the police that he used to roam in the area before as well. He was beaten based on suspicion.
