Delhi Police has arrested Jitendra Yadav, former state secretary of the Youth Congress, from Gwalior for allegedly participating in a semi-naked protest during the AI Summit 2026 in Delhi. He has been taken to Delhi by the police. Local police officials have declined to comment. Meanwhile, his father, Keshav Yadav, said the police are not providing any clear information about the case. AI summit protest sparks action On February 20, the Youth Congress staged a protest against the India-US Trade Deal during the AI Summit 2026 at Bharat Mandapam in Delhi. Videos show 15–20 workers holding white T-shirts bearing photos of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and US President Donald Trump with the slogan ‘PM IS COMPROMISED.’ Based on these videos, Delhi Police is identifying and taking action against Youth Congress leaders. 3 pictures of the protest at the AI Summit ‘Entered the house, slapped the son’ Jitendra Yadav lives in Patel Nagar City Center, Gwalior. His father, Keshav Yadav, told Dainik Bhaskar that around 1:30 AM on the intervening night of Saturday and Sunday, the family was asleep when they heard a noise at the compound gate. Before they could respond, some men entered without opening the gate. Some were in uniform and others in plain clothes. They asked about Jitendra, forcibly went upstairs, brought him down slapping him, and claimed to be from University Police Station and the Crime Branch. They took him away in a Scorpio with “CSP” written on it and a Delhi registration number. When the family reached the police station with local leaders, they were not allowed to meet him and could only speak on the phone. They were told that Delhi Police had detained Jitendra in connection with the protest. Keshav Yadav said, On Sunday morning, some police personnel came again. When asked, they said that your son had created a ruckus in Delhi. We told them that Jitendra had already been taken by the police at night. After that, they took all the mobile phones from our house and left.After some time, the same people came back and returned our phones. They asked for Jitendra’s clothes. Then they left. So far, there is no information about where our son is? Congress state spokesperson RP Singh said, No official information has been given in the matter yet. Police raided the house of Youth Congress leader Jitendra Yadav, rather I would say that they entered the house unauthorizedly. Family members were harassed. Even their mobiles were confiscated. It doesn’t seem like there is any legal system in Madhya Pradesh. There is an atmosphere of complete anarchy. Since morning, all people including the City Congress District President, Rural District President are making rounds of police stations, SP office, Crime Branch and other places.
