Aditya Devda from Ujjain has set a world record by cutting hair using 28 to 32 scissors simultaneously. His achievement has been recognised in the India Book of World Records, the Golden Book of World Records, and the London World Book of Records. Following this feat, Aditya has gained recognition both nationally and internationally. Aditya learned this technique from social media and, after five years of practice, successfully set the record. He resides in Alakhdham Nagar, Ujjain. Aditya shared that he came across a video of a Chinese hairstylist cutting hair with multiple scissors at once. Inspired by this, he decided to learn the technique himself. Through continuous practice and experimentation, he mastered it. Record-making journey began in 2022 After encountering a challenge on social media, Aditya first set a record by cutting hair with 28 scissors. In 2022, his name was recorded in the India Book of World Records and the Golden Book of World Records. In 2024, he advanced to 30 and then 32 scissors, breaking his own records, after which he was included in the London World Book of Records. Secured Third Place in Asian Competition At the 2024 Asian Global Championship held in Kazakhstan, Aditya secured third place. In 2025, he participated in the World Cup in London, competing against participants from 150 countries. Earlier it took 15 to 20 minutes, now only 4 to 5 minutes Aditya explains that earlier, a haircut with a single pair of scissors would take 15–20 minutes and cost ₹70. Now, using 32 scissors, he completes a haircut in 4–5 minutes, charging up to ₹450. Customers from Gujarat, Rajasthan, Maharashtra, and Bihar visit him for haircuts.
