In Gwalior, a retired soldier committed suicide by shooting himself with his licensed rifle. The 50-year-old soldier sat on the bed, placed the barrel of his licensed rifle against his head, and pulled the trigger. The retired soldier died on the spot. This incident occurred late Thursday night in the Shatabdi Puram, Maharajpura area. Originally from Bhind 50-year-old Shyam Bihari, son of Ramavatar Singh Bhadauria, a resident of Shatabdi Puram in the Maharajpura police station area, was a retired army jawan. He was originally from Tukeda, Malanpur in Bhind district. On Thursday night, after having dinner, he went to his room to sleep, while his wife and children were sleeping in another room. Late at night, the sound of a gunshot came from Shyam Bihari’s room. Hearing the sound, his wife and children reached the room. As soon as they opened the door, they saw Shyam Bihari lying on the bed, covered in blood, and his .315 bore rifle lying nearby. Upon receiving information, Maharajpura police station personnel reached the spot, took the body into custody, and began an investigation. At night, in a state of intoxication, he went to sleep in his room, so no one disturbed him.
