Dr. Hemlata’s last rites were performed at Gauri Ghat Actually, Dr. Hemlata Srivastava passed away on Sunday evening. After the post-mortem on Monday, her last rites were performed at Gauri Ghat. Her younger sister, Shanti Mishra, and a member of the Gayatri family, performed the last rites. Dr. Srivastava’s husband and son had already passed away. Meanwhile, Dr. Sumit Jain claims that on January 2, 11,000 square feet of land was donated to his family for building a memorial hospital. IMA members alleged that despite the doctor’s poor physical and mental health, she was made to sign the registry and donation deeds. A case of property grabbing has been registered against Dr. Sumit Jain, his wife, Prachi Jain, and others. Municipal Corporation cited lease violations as the reason According to the Municipal Corporation, lease plot number 51 in Right Town Extension is Municipal Corporation land, which was donated without permission. Additionally, lease rent has not been paid since 2020-21. The investigation also revealed signs of commercial activities being conducted without permission. Order to submit legal documents within 24 hours Assistant Commissioner Shivangi Mahajan has ordered to submit legal documents within 24 hours. The corporation will take further legal action, including the cancellation of lease. Currently, an investigation is ongoing on various aspects, including the Senior Citizens Maintenance Act.
