Car hits divider, overturns catches fire:4 friends returning from wedding critically injured, family’s repeated calls led to rash driving

Four friends returning from a wedding in Bhopal lost control of their Bolero near Mubarakpur and crashed into a road divider. The vehicle then flipped onto the opposite lane and caught fire. All four young men sustained serious injuries in the accident. A video of the incident surfaced on Friday. Preliminary investigation suggests that it was late at night and family members were repeatedly calling them. In a bid to reach home quickly, the driver allegedly increased speed, leading to loss of control. Police are also probing this angle. Locals rescued youths trapped in burning vehicle The accident took place around 1:30 am on Thursday between Prince Dhaba and Rangla Punjab Dhaba. After hitting the divider, the vehicle overturned and soon caught fire. People nearby rushed to the spot, pulled the injured youths out of the car and took them to hospital, where they are currently undergoing treatment. Were returning home after friend’s wedding The four youths were on their way back to Bhanpur and Dobra after attending a friend’s wedding in Karond. Among the injured, two are residents of Bhanpur and the other two belong to Dobra. The Bolero was being driven by a youth identified as Nikhil. Gandhi Nagar police station has registered a case and begun an investigation into the incident.
