In Atarwa village of Singrauli district, a 21-year-old man allegedly killed two people in the early hours of Thursday. The attack took place between 4 am and 5 am. According to police, the accused, Chhatrapati Singh, assaulted his neighbours — Phool Kumari Singh (50) and Kemala Singh (65) — with a sharp-edged weapon, fatally injuring them. During the incident, two other individuals who attempted to intervene were also attacked and sustained injuries. Investigators said that certain worship-related materials were found at the scene, raising suspicion that the crime may be linked to beliefs in black magic. The accused has been taken into custody and further investigation is underway. Neighbors arrived after hearing noise, 2 injured During the incident, Sumitra Singh and Rambhajan Singh, who came to intervene after hearing the noise, were also attacked by the accused. Both were seriously injured and were immediately admitted to the hospital. Their treatment is ongoing. SP says – investigating all aspects SP Manish Khatri said that the accused Chhatrapati Singh has been taken into custody by the police. Initial investigation has revealed aspects related to black magic and superstition. However, police are thoroughly investigating all aspects.
