cloud-cover-pulls-down-mp-day-temperatures:2-western-disturbances-to-turn-active-in-5-days;-no-rain-alert,-mild-chill-likely-to-continue

Madhya Pradesh witnessed cloudy skies once again on Wednesday under the influence of a western disturbance and a trough system. Cities including Bhopal, Indore and Gwalior remained overcast, leading to a drop in daytime temperatures. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), two western disturbances are likely to become active over the western Himalayan region in the next five days. While no rainfall alert has been issued for the state, cloud cover may persist in several areas. Senior meteorologist Dr. Divya E. Surendran said the current cloudiness is due to the active system. In the coming days, both day and night temperatures are expected to show a gradual rising trend. Another spell of mild cold ahead The weather department said snowfall is continuing in the hills, while several other states are experiencing rain. Once the system passes and snow begins to melt, another shift in weather conditions may occur. A brief drop in temperatures is likely in the coming days, though intense cold is not expected. Night temperatures in most cities are likely to hover between 10°C and 12°C. For the next three to four days, late nights and early mornings will continue to feel chilly.
